Can I take the Oru Kayak on a plane?

Yes, the Oru Kayak can be checked as luggage, and the best way to protect the kayak during transport is to pack it inside of the Oru Pack.

We've travelled numerous to tradeshows and other events both domestic and internationally, and with the Oru Pack we've never had any trouble— the airlines see it as regular luggage (for local flights, we usually fly United) and we've never had to pay oversized baggage fees. Without the Oru Pack, it might be a little harder for it to pass as regular baggage and not get charged with oversized fees, but it's really up to the discretion of the airline and it's staff.

Make sure all buckles are clipped and straps are tighten down.
